By 2023, Rawa had completed three grant cycles as part of its pilot grant-making model, supporting more than 70 creative Palestinian grassroots initiatives. These initiatives were nominated and selected by community clusters composed of local Palestinian leaders engaged in grassroots and community work across various fields, including culture, agriculture, education, and more.
In 2025, we launched a new model designed to respond to the realities our people are facing—particularly in light of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. This model, which we will pilot through the end of 2026, is structured around three distinct funding tracks, each aligned with a different level of urgency. It aims to strategically sustain our grassroots ecosystem while acknowledging the overwhelming and immediate basic needs in Gaza.
حتّى عام 2023، قدّمت روى ثلاث دورات منح ضمن نموذجها التجريبيّ. دعمت روى خلال هذه الدورات أكثر من 70 مبادرة مجتمعيّة فلسطينيّة مبدعة. رشّح المبادرات واختارها لجان مجتمعيّة تألّفت من ناشطين محليين فلسطينيين منخرطين بالعمل المجتمعيّ والشعبيّ في عدّة مجالات، منها الثقافي، والزراعي، والتعليميّ، وغيرها. ا
في عام 2025، أطلقنا نموذجًا جديدًا حاولنا أن نلائمه للمرحلة التي يعيشها الشعب الفلسطينيّ، ولا سيما حرب الإبادة الإسرائيليّة على قطاع غزّة. يقوم هذا النموذج الجديد، والذي سنجرّبه حتّى نهاية 2026، على ثلاث مسارات دعم مختلفة، تتفاوت في مستوى الحاجة الطارئة للمنحة. ا

مسار المنح الاستراتيجيّة
مسار تجريبيّ لدعم مبادرات تعاونيّة تشارك روى في بلورتها، وتنسجم بشكل مباشر مع القيم والرؤية المجتمعيّة التي تتبنّاها. ا
حتّى نهاية عام 2025، وبعد الانتهاء من اختيار مبادرات المنح العامّة، تبدأ عائلة روى في تطوير مقترحات لمبادرات ومشاريع يُمكن دعمها ضمن هذا المسار التجريبيّ. ا
مسار المنح العامّة
مسار لدعم المبادرات المجتمعيّة الفاعلة في مختلف مناطق
فلسطين وفي شتّى المجالات.ا
تختار عائلة روى – المكوّنة من الفريق، الهيئة الاستشاريّة، واللجان المجتمعيّة – قائمة من 15 شخصًا من أنحاء فلسطين، ونطلب منهم ترشيح مبادرات يقدّرون عملها ويثقون بمن يقودها.ا
تجتمع لجنة اختيار من سبعة أشخاص لمدّة ثلاثة أيّام، تدرس خلالها الترشيحات وتحاول الوصول إلى إجماع حول المبادرات التي ستدعمها روى.ا
مسار منح غزّة الطارئة
تُقدَّم منح غزّة الطارئة بوتيرة سريعة، بدورة كل شهرين لعدد
محدود من المبادرات الإغاثيّة.ا
كل شهرين، نختار شخصًا من لجنة غزّة المجتمعيّة وآخر من بين المبادرات التي سبق أن تعاونّا معها، ونطلب منهما ترشيح مبادرات إغاثيّة فاعلة يقدّرون نشاطها.ا
تجتمع لجنة اختيار المبادرات، وغالبيّتها من أهالي غزّة، خلال وقت قصير لبحث المقترحات بعمق، وتتّخذ قراراتها بناءً على قراءتها للوضع الميدانيّ في القطاع.ا
ينضمّ الأشخاص الذين رشّحوا المبادرات إلى لجنة الاختيار في الدورة التالية، بهدف توسيع دائرة اتخاذ القرار وتعميق المشاركة المجتمعيّة.ا
Gaza Emergency Track
The Emergency Gaza Grants are offered at a fast pace—every two months—to a limited number of relief initiatives.
Each cycle, we select one person from the Gaza Community Committee and another from among previously supported initiatives, and ask them to nominate active relief initiatives they value and trust.
A selection committee—mostly composed of people from Gaza—convenes quickly to thoroughly review the proposals and decide on grants based on their on-the-ground understanding of the situation in Gaza.
Those who nominate initiatives join the selection committee in the following cycle, expanding the circle of decision-making and deepening community participation.
General Grants Track
This track supports active community initiatives across Palestine and in various fields.
Rawa’s extended family—which includes the team, advisory board, and community committees—selects a group of 15 individuals from across Palestine, and asks them to nominate initiatives they respect and trust.
A selection committee of seven people meets for three days to study the nominations and work toward consensus on which initiatives Rawa will support.
Strategic Grants Track
A pilot track dedicated to supporting collaborative initiatives that Rawa helps shape and that align directly with Rawa’s community-driven values and vision.
Through the end of 2025, and after selecting initiatives for the general grants, Rawa’s extended family will begin developing proposals for projects and initiatives that could be supported through this experimental track.
